Set against the Italian Riviera, Pixar’s LUCA tells the story of a young merman as he steps into the surface world for the first time. With his friend Alberto, young Luca experiences a whole new world of adventure, pasta and endless Vespa rides. However, when the world discovers that sea monsters exist, so to does the pressure for the boys to remain hidden, out of fear for their lives. This week, ScreenFish’rs Heather Johnson and Alan Sharrer return to talk about Disney’s tendency to play it safe and the relationship between fear and knowledge.
