Directed by Jules Koostachin, ANGELA’S SHADOW tells the story of Angela and Henry, an Ottawa couple who visit Mary, their Cree childhood nanny from the community of KiiWeeTin. But, upon their visit, Angela is haunted by a mysterious shadowy figure that leads to the uncovering of secrets about her life that she had never known. In this 1on1, we speak to Koostachin about passing the fight to the next generation and reclaiming indigenous identity.

In honour of National Truth and Reconciliation Day, ANGELA’S SHADOW is now streaming on Hollywood Suite.
